My 2002 WRX is back up for sale. This is a really fun and FAST car to drive plus can hold a ton of stuff with the seats folded down. I was able to carry a lot of my band equipment inside of here.
The car body has roughly 116k miles on it but there's an Subaru STi block that has been mated up to the WRX head with mild headwork. Mated up to this engine is an ERZ 3" catback exhaust. I have all the receipts for the $3500 in engine work that was done to it!
Specs:
Built EJ25 short block bored out
JE Oversized forged pistons
ACL Race Bearings
Subaru high flow oil pump
Subaru water pump
Subaru factory timing belt
Subaru timing belt tensioner
3 angle valve job/head rebuild
EJ20 Head with a 3-angle valve job
ERZ 3" Catback exhaust
HKS up pipe & down pipe (not installed)
I just had the car smogged and registered. The smog certification is still good for 90 days to sell the car. So I took care of the hard part for you!
Things to fix:
-the front passenger side window doesn't roll all the way down. The window was broken and when I had a new one placed in there is a small 1" piece that still sticks up
-small nicks and scratches on the rear bumper
-Oil temp gauge on the factory gauge pod doesn't work. It's function was lost when I had the new bottom end installed.
All of this can be negotiated with.
I'm selling because I can use the money for other things (read: bills). Considering the motor work that has been done, this baby is priced to sell!! A good starting place for those that want to make a really fast wagon! Why buy a stock WRX for around the same price when you can buy one that's already prepped for big power?
I can also add the up/down pipe and reflash it to a stage 2 wagon for a little more.
