Odd tranny noise.
Ok, So I've searched for a while but keep getting conflicting statements on this being either the input shaft bearing or the throwout bearing.
There is a "whiring" noise coming from the tranny of my girlfriend's 95 GSR. When I say whiring I mean it sounds like something resembling the noise a roller skate makes, but slightly higher in tone.
SYMPTOMS:
Constant noise.
It is not gear dependent.
It will make it while in neutral.
It will disappear totally with the slightest touch of the clutch pedal, but will return as soon an you let off.
Thoughts, Opinions?

Pulled the trans case apart, and replaced the ISB. It was for lack of a better word "perfect", The throwout bearing on the other hand was dry, noisy, and loose when I spun it by hand. Also, One of the TOB's retaining tabs was broken off ,so I assume it was letting fall against the clutch when it wasn't engaged giving it the symptom of constant noise.

Dang, sorry I didn't see this earlier. I could have told you it would be the TOB, since the noise went away when touching the clutch pedal.
