1997 Odyssey Bearing Noise?
All: I am trying to help out my father-in-law as he is uncomfortable driving his odyssey the way it is. It has a humming noise, vehicle speed dependent coming from the front passenger side. I replaced his rotors, pads, calipers, etc this weekend to help him out but the sound is still there.
I feel it may be the wheel bearing. How can I confirm? We tried 2 different wheels, its the same (so its not the tire).
Also, if it is the wheel bearing, can someone forward me some directions to replace it.
His concern is he needs to lend his vehicle to an overseas visitor for 2 weeks and fears it is dangerous.
Thanks for the help. Ed

A wheel bearing is best done by a shop because you need special tools and a hydraulic press.
The good news is just about any good shop can do a repair like this.
