I have a b16a with type r throttle body and h22 obd1 injectors.

I want to build my head and found some used toda spec B's in marketplace.
Do i have to use only toda springs and retainers or i can use any?

what other modifications are recommended other then intake manifold to gain some power?
I have a stock b16a block.

How much WHP am i looking at after these mods?

 

you can get any springs or retainers but with beefy cams get a good brand of dual valve springs and titanium retainers. cromoly breaks, aluminum is crap too.

 

get some ITBs and some good cams and your set. youll make a satisifying powerband

 

i found some Skunk 2 Springs and Retainers used for 250$. will they do?

 

if they are titanium. thats a good deal. i bout super tech springs and retnrs. they are both good

 

will i get good power with just

WHP you'd be gaining. . . . no clue? im not good at benching. . . . . as for having the retainers and springs arent so much as to gain any power but more of a sense of security that things dont go bad due to weak ones.
