Default Energy Suspension (ES) Shifter Bushing info

I searched... still have a few questions.

1. Level of difficulty for install. (I would assume it is not too hard)
2. Couldn't seem to find these items for sale. Where are they available? $$?
3. Did you find that it did the job well?

Thanks in advance.

1. It's a bitch...seriously you need more than 2 thumbs to get them in
2. not sure where to get them but they were about 12 bucks.
3. it made shifting feel more crisp. not as loose

Put some in my friends civic....NO FUN. Personally I did not like the way it effected the ride quality. http://www.energysuspension.com/

Shifter bushings, not suspension bushings. And of course it's going to make it ride stiffer!

The install isn't too bad. I crushed the flared pipe to fit the bushing on, and then reflared it. Sounds a lot more fancy than it really was. All I used was a vice grip

they were not hard at all....it makes it much easier if you take the shift linkage off to get the one bushing in there...

I tried doing it while on the car for about 20 minutes, no luck........took it off and it took literally 5 seconds....

I am not sure I would recommend this modification. I recently installed Mugen's hard rubber shift linkage bushings and, while they do firm up the feel of the shifter, I think they make it a little notchier. I would suspect polyurethane bushings would be worse. The stock feel is really rather good.

stock feel is too sloppy...the poly bushing aren't too stiff IMO...just right

beware ordering from Summit....like 10 bucks, but they nail you w/ a $7 handling fee per order, so it sucks if that's all you want to order

Exactly what I did. Take the extension arm off and it is easy as pie.

took it off and it took literally 5 seconds....

Hey Norice, Since you live close to me, you think I could check out the feel of the shifter now that you have the Mugen bushings in? IM me.
