Default No 5th gear in high RPM's

Got a '00 Si tranny with a Quaiffe LSD. I ot it cause the guy tried to install a new bearing in the case. WE got it all back together using parts from a parts tranny and everything is excellent, no grinds no pop outs no nothing.....except, Above 4000-5000 RPM i cant get it into 5th gear. Its like its just not there, until the R's drop. Is there something simple that would have caused this? Put something in backwards or upside down, we put it all back in how we pulled it out of the other tranny. Sorry for the newb. explanation and question.

You may have unknowingly installed the 5/R sleeve or hub upside-down if the previous owner had it that way.

Do you have a service manual? If so, that'll help you pinpoint pretty easily what went wrong once it's apart.
