Hey guys. I tried my hand at searching, but came up with no results.

Will the stock exhaust from an 09 Civic SI (2dr coupe) direct bolt onto a 99 Civic (2dr coupe)? I'm talking from the cat back.

If its not a direct bolt on, has anyone made it work and how much modification is required?

Appreciate the assistance.

 

im positive it will not directly bolt on. just take it to a muffler shop they can cut and weld it on to fit.

why would you assume it is direct?

 

dont know 100% but the axle back should fit. the cat back won't, since the pipe goes under the passenger seat.

That's why I asked man. The guy I'm looking to buy it from claims it's a direct bolt on. I figured someone on here had gone down this route before. Thanks for your response tho.

 

Ahh..I did not know how the 09 exhaust was configured. That pretty much puts a definate no on the cat back. Thanks!

 

^^ different chassis completely! The engine is mounted backwards from the older style D and B series engines.....i seriously doubt any of it would bolt on.

That being said, anything can be modified to fit, if your willing to spend the coin at a muffler shop
