Stock GS-R Turbo(for the ones said it would blow up) I am now retuning
Well for all the people that said my motor would blow up, my motor is still alive and has been alive since 11/2008, and it is now going back to retune. Here is my set up. I think thats about everything, car was tuned back in November 2008. These were the results,
93 octane @ 11psi = 341.12HP > 221.32 TQ
VP C16 @ 20psi = 20psi 479.24HP 319.36TQ
Car went 11.624 @ 121.1 MPH (I suck at driving) It should be low 11's
I am changing the headgasket again and adding some Type-R cams, and retuning over the weekend. I'll keep you guys updated on how it goes. (hopefully it dont blow this time lol)
Here goes a picture of the car at the track....went 11.6 that day..lol

why not just buy some rods and pistons?. cause when the rods due fail from fatigue it's sure to put a hole in that block. B series vtec motors are hard to come by these days and are getting scarce.
I agree, with that much invested, you might as well just break down and do the rods and pistons as well.

I have a fully built bottom end waiting to be put on...i jus wanted to prove ppl wrong....that stock motor can make that much power and last for while.....
I've owned 2 other built motors...sadly this one has lasted the longest.....and realy the motor has been turbocharged longer than 11/2008...it had a smaller turbo set up b4....that had made 298@10psi and 404@19psi....i had that set up from 05/2008-11/2008.....and i am now retuning the same motor for the 3rd time....and it is still good....my new motor has bein built by Jim Justice....that should be a good motor....my other 2 were done by Inline Pro(THEY ARE SOME SHIIIT!!!!!) RIP OFFS

Stock blocks are the sh*t. I'm making 400/285 stock LS/Vtec on pump revving to 8600. Car ran 11.5 @123mph last week at Island. They just take it.
Thanks ppl, about time i found people on HT that actually agree...Im tired of hearing most ppl say "YOUR **** IS GONA BLOW UP THE DYNO" or "U'LL BLOW IT IN A DAY OR A WEEK"
People are just dumb, who claim they kno about hondas, lol.....yet they are spendin 4k+ on a built motor to make 400+....I spent 4k plus on my built motor, But guess what? I BETTER MAKE 630+...LMAO
nice ****.. to me a 121 trap seems low for 479whp.. but idk
you and me are in the same boat about the motor blowing

Nice power on a stock motor, I think the people that spend the money on blocks are doing for more security...Most of the time they are not suprised when there block lasted over a year though
