I tried reading some of the other no start threads out there but couldn't really find anything that is exactly like mine.

the car starts fine 9 out of 10 times, but sometimes when I start it, it will start for a second, the rpms will jump to 1500 for a second and then it will die. I will have to crank it several times before it will start again, and then I have to give it some gas or it seems like it wants to die again. Today this happened and I could not get the car started again. I eventually left and came back later in the night and it started up fine. Once the car is running it seems fine, but sometimes it does have a low idle. Might be unrelated, but i dont know.

I was thinking about starting off with the whole plugs/wires/dist. cap thing, anyone have any other ideas?

 

do the tune up first but im thinking is a bad main relay
