Default F23 auto trans: rebuild and sell, or scrap?

I have acquired an F23 auto trans with ~140k miles on it. I was told that it slips (not sure which gear; probably 2nd) and pops out of gear. Would it be worth rebuilding and selling as a rebuilt (with no warranty), or scrap it? How much is a rebuild kit, and where could I obtain one? Thanks.

I'd keep it. It would be good to use so you wouldnt have to pay additional money for a core charge if something were to ever happen.

ive got a f22b1 tranny that doesn't work at all except reverse. about the same amount of miles. i thought about rebuilding it and trying to sell but don't have cash for a rebuild kit. where can i find a place that will buy it for scrap?
