b20 cylinder wall finish (also knife edge crank)
right new b20 block is here. (for my b20vtec)
all looks good but this time i am sending the block to an engineering place and having them do the hone. now, what are hondas wall finish specs for a b20z1 engine? (angle/hatch type/grade of stone/hone etc)
also do the walls taper down at all or should they be dead on straight from top to bottom?
also for piston rings should i go for a 0.25mm oversize ring then file them to fit for a closer tolerance? they are going on ycp itr spec b20 pistons (cast like oem etc)
is it worth paying extra for a knife edged crank btw? they can do it but do i need to supply the flywheel as well for them to balance it on etc?
also in regards to the head i am currently using the golden eagle stepped dowels, is there anyway i can alter the dowels so i can just use a genuine oem honda gasket and not have to drill the dowel holes out further? eagle pre cut ones are hella expensiave to get here in the uk.
thanks!
