retro solutions hid kit.. Questions.
Yes I know 99.99999% of you guys hate PnP kits but I want them for the time being till I get my duel beam tl hid retrofit done to my jdm 1piece ef headlights
My question is, have any of you guys ran this kit? I'm gonna buy the adjustable brightness kit. No it will not be a 12k kit I was thinking probably 6k. Lol
Any input?

Everything except for my projectors an ballasts are from retro. I had a pnp kit before. when I did my retro I purchased my D2S bulbs, D2S wire harness, an power wire harness from them an used my old pnp kit ballasts. I had one HID bulb go bad an retro replaced it very fast. They have lifetime warranty on there stuff. When my ballasts go bad I will get the next set from retro. If you go with a kit before your retro just remember to aim headlights low, so to you minimize the glare on others. good luck hope this helps.
i have the exact kit your about to buy. I've had it for almost a year with no problems. I did have a bulb blow which retro replaced free of charge. buy it, money well spent IMO

I had to switch to D2S bulbs because of my projectors. I purchased german bosch projectors from ebay. Same projectors used in audi's an bmw's. These projectors need D2S bulbs.
thanks for the info guys.

any non projector headlight will have glare. projectors are great for focusing the light and eliminating glare(decent projectors at least) anything above 4300k is garbage and ricer.
Yes you need to do a retro or have some one do it for you. Your stock halogen's are not designed for HID's. On ebay you can purchase a lot of the parts you will need for a retro or there are sites you can purchase from. There are aftermarket projector headlights you can get but the projectors in them are terrible so they need to be replaced. You can find all the decent projectors on ebay from acura to lexus projectors. Its not a cheap project. I think anything above 6k for your bulbs is to much. 4300k is what the OEM's use.
id be interested to see pics of a car with this it in it.
the pics on the site are garbage theres no way a pnp kit has a cut off like that.
but i like my 6oooks

Sorry to wake this thread 3 days later...but this was just bothering me...
How can you say 6000k bulbs are garbage and ricer when I see them in OEM cars? My dad's beemer, my girfriend's mom's brand new TSX...
I agree that anything above 6000k is garbage and ricer...even though plenty Range Rovers come with them...but 4300k is just like a brighter halogen bulb.
I tried both 4300 and 6000 in my retro and ended up staying with the 6000's because while the 4300's are technically brighter, in my opinion, the 6000's let me see things I could not see as easily with the 4300's such as reflective signs, road lines, animals' eyes, etc.
It's my opinion that 6000k bulbs are better, but it's fact that they are not ricer and garbage. Don't try to turn people away from them because you're lovin the yellow life.

WHAT?!?! you are out of your mind lol you might think they are 6000 but did you look at the bulb yourself??? NO so dont assume. they put WHITE light on the ground not BLUE. when you look at the light coming out it looks blue because of how the light is refracting off the the projector lens. dont get all butt hurt. i know plenty of people who put 6000 or 8000 in their evo or range ro but i know for a fact the factory dont sacrifice drivability for looks and if they do they got problems. 4300 ARE PROVEN FACTUALLY that they are FOR SURE brighter than 3000 or 6000 or any other light wavelength on the scale. if you like it then fine i dont care but any real person that knows their retro know better. headlights at night are a safety issue and if you want to put yourself or even others in that type of compromise its garbage and ricer like driving overly fast on public roads and putting people in danger. thats RICER and so is doing pointless things to your car just cuz you like it just like body kits where you need to mod your bumper reinforcement to fit one putting people's safety in jeopardy. OK now..I don't want to keep this going on this guy's thread....the reason I responded in the first place was to promote a little ****ing individualism...if you have a retrofit or OEM HID's, a 6000k or 8000k bulb is not going to be a safety issue by any means. Plus, this guy is doing a PnP kit...and you're telling him to go with 4300k? Won't that be more of a safety issue because he'll have brighter glare? Sounds like some harmful advice there. I also think it's funny how you call driving fast on public roads ricer...that and 6000k bulbs...in that case a $70g range is ricer with its purple lights...Don't tell me you wouldn't drive it over a cr-v or pilot with 4300k's in it...but then again..seeing what you've said, that range is garbage.
And by the way, the TSX came with 6000k bulbs, I compared the output on the white wall of the garage...just give it up..and let people put 6000k bulbs in their car if they want to, it is putting nobody in danger, if anything it's safer because it has less potential to blind oncoming drivers.
Thank you-come again

See this is what I hate about these effing forums. Read what I said! I PREFER 6000K. Look above where I quoted you, I quoted that VTEC arsehole who was trying to tell someone not to do what they wanted because it would put other people in danger...HE WAS WRONG SO I TOLD HIM.....
SO FOR THE LAST TIME, I was arguing with "the guy who produces vtec (must have founded Honda)"...i guess..and i quoted you to show that i agreed with you because sometimes you have to combine forces to defeat the douches like him who tell people what to do when they don't ask
Yes, I quoted you, but I also quoted him sorry it didn't make that nice blue box for you...sheesh man...can't we all be friends? not in a gay (is that sn a chick sn?) way, but c'mon to call me out over something like that? waste your posts somewhere else please.
