Will I need a full camber kit if I purchase upper pillow ball mounts?
Hello All,
Sol I am new and have been looking through the forums and have read a lot of great info on suspension options and tech info.
What I would like to know is if I purchase the Buddy Club N+ spec system with pillow ball upper mounts do I need to purchase a camber kit? It looks like these upper mount contain adjustments for camber... does this negate a separate kit, or is this just extra adjustment?
Again thanks for such a great site, I just got my car and have used this site for CEL info, spark plug info, the list goes on.

92 civic vx w/ jdm gsr swap
currently setup with gr-2's with H&R springs
would like to go with Buddy Club N+ specs. Not sure if I need the camber kit or just the upper pillow ball mounts.

Adjustable (pillow ball) top mounts only work for to Macpherson strut cars. If you wish to adjust camber you will need some other parts. I wouldn't bother honestly, camber is good.
All you need is good alignment and your tires should last. Also I don't know why you would even need the upper pillow ball mounts, get the cheaper set without it and order the 2 front GC top hats with the $$ you saved and use the stock ones in the rear. I would change the bushings in the stock top hats thought.
thnx for the replies.
Ok so i will skip the pillow ball mounts.
pretty sure I would still need to go with a camber kit, can any recommend a good one?
and lastly, why buy the GC ( I assume Ground Control) top hats instead of keeping the stock ones?
Thanks again.

And yes, GC = Ground Control. I'd reuse the stock upper mounts, unless you have specific needs otherwise. Radical lowering can be one of them, but they're only affective if the shock body can actually fit up inside of the upper mount. GC sized them for Koni Sport shocks, so anything with a wider body won't work.
What car? Civics and Integras, for example, really do not benefit much (if any) from a front camber kit, and due to clearance issues, are actually detrimental to the vehicle.
