suggestions on turbo d16

Default suggestions on turbo d16

i just got a 94 civic ex d16 with 175000 miles on it and i wanted to know if i should turbo it? due to the higher miles on it, i wanted to know if i should build the bottom end or what? I'm thinking about running a T3 T04E Turbo Kit, any suggestions i could use the help thanks!

not a good first post.
this is the technical forum.
post in the Forced Induction forum and you will get well knowledged people that will help you on your boost needs.
and please use the search. this topic has been covered several hundred times.

i would get another motor set aside (another z6) so if it desides to blow up i wouldnt do anything over 8 psi on stock internals

PSI is irrelavent.
8 psi on a t3/t4 turbo is COMPLETELY different on a bigger or smaller turbo.
use power as your goals.

i would definitly boost it then WHEN it blows just drop another 2-300 dollers for a complete motor and your good again

Do a compression and leakdown test and if everything is good, then you should be able to boost on stock internals for around 200whp if you'd like a safe daily driver.

If the compression test end up bad, then I'd try and get your hands on a fresh, low mileage d16y8/z6 with good compression all around to boost. They're easy to find pretty damn cheap for a full swap, so I wouldn't worry about spending too much.
