Just a shot out in the dark to see if anyone has anything different to say.

I have a 2000 accord ex (v6) and of course I have the EGR problem, been having that for awhile and the previous owner never dealt with that so I inherited it.

But the other day my bf got in it to drive home from work and it was running really bad, way worse than normal (to me). And the check engine light started blinking other than the usual just staying lit.

It is way sluggish at taking off from a stop. While stopped it acts like it wants to stall but never does. I have no problem starting it. And while stopped putting the car in neutral will calm it down. And Once it is going it runs fine. I haven't had this problem with it before. And there wasn't a progression. It was fine that morning when he left for work, and was bad when he got in it to come home.

I took it to a mechanic but he didn't tell me anything different from what I already knew. He just told me I would have to fix the egr problem before he could figure what was wrong with it.

I got the egr valve replaced, will be looking into drilling out the port pretty soon. I just wanted to see what people who know that they are talking about have to say.
