Default Speed Theory EG Street Car

One of the new cars for this season is done and should be on the track testing in the near future.

The car was built to be super simple, reliable, cost effective, and give the owner a good starting point to get some seat time before jumping into the SFWD class in the coming months - also going to see how far a stock motor can take us. In addition to racing B3 and/or Radial Power, the car will also be driven on the street. Numbers and track times coming soon!

Specs:
Stock B18C, +.020, Wiseco 9.7:1, Eagle Rods w/ ARP 2000 Bolts
Stock B18C Head, GSR Cams
Golden Eagle HD Headstuds
AFI Custom-Order Stage 2.5 Kit, Double-Backdoor
Edelbrock Victor X, BDL 70mm
Walbro 255ph, ID 1000cc, Golden Eagle Fuel Rail, Aeromotive 13109 Regulator
Competition Clutch 1620 w/ HD Plate, ARP Flywheel/Pressure Plate Bolts
Omni-Power Drag Suspension
Full-Race Traction Bars
AVID Mounts
Neptune RTP w/ Boost By Gear

What we've got coming out next.. :lurk:

UPDATE

Just got back from our trip to NRG Tech to have the car tuned.

Final Numbers
406whp/262tq at 14psi, 93 Octane
540whp/354tq at 22psi, C16

Car is all ready to go for the next event, some "other" races setup for this weekend lol. We're really looking forward to see what it can do. Took it out on the street for a bit tonight, car is a blast to drive.

HUGE thanks to Miller @ NRG Tech for the spot on tune, getting us in so quickly, and staying late to get this done.

We'll update with track results and some video's as soon as we can!

VERY NICE!!!

Big props to a straight-forward, effective and promising setup. I'll be watching this car's progress with great interest! ;-)

The AFI topmount is pure sex!

Why is the dizzy adjustment off so much?
Is that a satin black paint job? Better pics of the car. I love satin black!

The car hasn't been started yet as it was just completed, initial engine break-in will be done on the dyno..

The car will be professionally painted in the coming weeks I believe, Don wanted to get rid of the factory purple paint and sprayed it outisde

I really don't think shooting for 500-550whp is overboard with this setup, if we can squeeze high 500's..low 600's it should do some impressive stuff at the track As soon as the car is on the dyno, I will make sure to update with numbers, and knowing Don...we'll be at the track the same night!

The BFG G-Force T/A's for the street are 225/50/15. Slicks will be a M/T 24.5x9x13, not 100% sure on the radial's yet if the car does in fact run in Radial Power...going to have to make some tweaks here and there.
