Brakes
Hey Guys,
I am pretty sure that I have Akebono brakes and need to get them replaced asap. 97 accord 4cyl sedan
I plan on getting slotted Rotora rotors for the front with Hawk HPS pads. For the rear drums I plan on getting some mid level drums w/ a hardware kit.
Is this all that I need? The rotors are warped so I can't resurface them.
Thanks

If you're wanting to go with an upgraded drum in the rear, just do a rear disc conversion. Definitely worth the time and cash for the upgrade. You could also consider the Legend calipers while your at it.
I'd like to do the drum to disc conversion but money is more than tight right now. Plus, I dont drive the Accord hard or anything, but would like the slight upgrade.
Well, even if you can resurface the rotors, my car has 112,000 miles and am on the original brakes and it def. requires more to stop.
But other than that, is that all I need?

It is difficult to remove 97 accord front rotor. If you can find a shop can do rotor resurface on the car and your rotor has enough width, it will be easier to do resurface.
If you plan to remove the front rotor, I guess it is better to change the rotor.
