Has anyone done this? Placed the car in reverse, backed up, forgot they have the car in reverse, released the clutch fast while still in reverse, and car jerks? Any damage afterward?

SERIOULSy I'm not lying, I only stalled it once when I bought it but I only drive it like 9000km/year. I don't drive it hard like some people.

i think you only stall when you dont know how to drive..... not when you drive "hard like some people"

I didn't mean that everyone that drives their car hard, stalls them. If you drive your car hard you're more "likely" to stall the car.

Next time I buy a used car, I guess I should ask if they have ever stalled it...especially in reverse.

I did not stall mine. I just quickly released the clutch in reverse.

What a useless thread. I am going to create a new one titled, "What happened to my car?", and under the description I'll put something like, "I was going in first, letting off the clutch and my car jerked forward and shut off. What does that mean?", and it will get the same reply's as this thread does.
