so, i just spent the last week tearing my XR600R apart. i finally get the thing running just in time for memorial day weekend and my buddy and i go out for a ride. about halfway through our trip we stop to eat our lunch at a place that has a really nice view of the ocean and the state park. so we walk down to the bluff where theres a nice place to sit and chill and as we eat we hear another bike pull up by ours. im not one to leave my bike sitting there with some dude around so i decide to walk back up the hill to check our gear. as i near the trailhead i hear the other bike start up and tear off and im like SH*T! so i run up there to find our bikes THRASHED! the asshat yanked my gas cap and filled my tank with leaves, mud, and my buddy's gloves; tore up my air filter and filled my intake with mud as well. he cut up our seats really bad, shoved mud into my buddy's oil inlet and cut out his spark plug lead. then he tossed all our gear (helmets, gloves, pads, ect) down the hill. i find all this and im pissed. not only because our bikes are fubar but because i gotta walk 20 miles all the way home. now i gotta spend even more time/money to fix the thing. damn i hate people with no respect for other people's belongings. i mean seriously, who does that? ghaa im pissed!

im double pissed cause i just got the thing running and that jerk messed it up worse than it was before.

oh, and thank god for me insisting that we bring regular shoes in our packs. 20 miles in my alpinestars would have sucked.

 

Damn man that really sucks. If you have told me he stole the bikes or gear I wouldn't be surprised...but do all that trouble for nothing? Damn.

Sorry to hear about the vandalism. I think you should get it back up and running ASAP, then play a little bait and wait game. Bring a taser and some pepper spray too.

that is so weird man. i cant believe someone would just go ahead and do that. Well that guy is a *****. if he did in fact have beef, then he should have confronted you. good luck on the repairs.
