Default What do you guys think? This feels weird to me.

Okay, so my viper 5900 brain went bad. Im not exactly sure why but it did, enough said. I called viper and they said that as long as i had a certified dealer install the alarm they would warrenty and replace it for free as long as i had a reciept.

I had Wrx-killer-Sti-eater aka Desmon Morgan install it. I paid him and he came to my house and did it. I assisted him in the project so knew how to pull my alarm back out so i could send it in to viper.

I contacted him and told him what viper said, and he told me "no they wont warrenty it", I told him they said they would and i had the lady's name and info that told me that and just to please send me a reciept so i could get it taken care of. He told me again "no they arent going to fix it, just send it to me and i can swap it out cause i have some down here".

He gave me his address and i shipped it out same day. Its been almost two weeks since i got the delivery conformation from fedex saying it was dropped off.

I pm'd him as soon as i got the conformation, to make sure he got it. Never got a responce back, i have pm'd him several times since and yet no reply whats so ever. Before i sent my brain he was pm'ing me back within a couple of hours of when i pm'd him. And from his profile i can see he logs on here daily, and his last post was made on the 19th, just a few days ago. I have pm'd him almost once a day asking him to pm me back with an update.

Today i texted him saying "is this wrx-killer from h-t?" cause i wasnt sure if i had the right number. He texted back "yes". So right after that i texted him back saying "i sent my brain to you a couple of weeks ago and you havent replyed to any of my pm's, can you please tell me whats going on?" No reply back for the rest of the day, that was at 2 pm it is now 12 am our time.

I just feel very sketchy about this, this isnt a post to make him look bad or speak badly of him, i know he is a busy man but still though. Figured maybe if i made a post he would feel the need to contact me back. It doesnt have to be much, maybe something just saying where my replacement brain is at.

as soon as they send it back to me I will send it back to you. What else am I suppose to do? I swapped out case to a clifford and sent it in. I not going to make a receipt with my name on it to send in a brain off the net. They do not even make that brain anymore. What ever lady that gave you misinformed information. They will not fix any brains that are off the net or dealer for no charge.

The following are instructions for exchanging your defective Viper product for a replacement unit. If you purchased your Viper product at an authorized Viper retailer, we recommend that you first attempt to exchange your product at that location; this is usually the fastest way to get a replacement.

Warranty Guidelines:

For specific terms of coverage and other warranty terms, please refer to your Owner's Guide. Copies of the Guides can also be found online in the Guides area of the Support section.
Your product warranty starts on the date that you purchased the product, so a copy of your receipt with the purchase date must be provided upon return of any defective product.
Per the stated warranty terms that you received with your product, Directed may repair your defective product, or exchange it with a new or factory refurbished equivalent at Directed's option.
Your product warranty is voided if the product is damaged through negligence, misuse, or mishandling, or if any bar-coded labels are removed from the product.
Directed will return your original defect to you at your expense if it is not covered by the terms of the warranty.

Instructions for Returning Defective Product for Exchange:

Print and complete the Consumer Warranty Return Form with product information, your name, the address that returned product should be shipped to, telephone number, and purchase information.
Attach your purchase receipt and $15 cashiers check or money order payable to "Directed Electronics" to the form, and enclose both in the box with your defective product. Return all parts that came with the product, whether they are defective or not.
Address the returned product to Directed Electronics - Attention: Warranty, 1 Viper Way, Vista, CA 92081
We recommend that you ship the product using UPS Ground or a carrier that can provide you with tracking information. Directed is not responsible for product that is not delivered to the above address.
Directed will return your exchanged product in 2-3 weeks using UPS Ground.

If you have any questions, please contact our Warranty Department.

Oh you're still alive, it has been what 1 year and 3 months since you started my alarm install. You don't pick up your calls, answer pms, and leave whenever we make an appointment to meet at your apartment (four times, it is completely unprofessional and frustrating). I'm the s2000 owner, and agreed upon the alarm install because you said you can do the remote start. The deal was supposed to be 3 cars, an integra, s2000, and civic. You finished the integra but you killed the heater so the heater does not work anymore and since you have obviously been avoiding me for the past year it was never fixed. Oh the s2000, you stripped one of only two bolts that hold the dash together, scratched my odometer bezel, improperly removed my steering column cover so now it is forever cracked open and will not seal anymore. When ever i open my door, my dash lights indicate that the trunk is open. I left my car at your place for a total of two weeks and some how you managed to only work on it the days that i come over to take it home, wtf? i came over with my gf and waited for you to work until midnight, bought you hamburgers and even took you to eat sushi. Were we not the coolest and most patient customers? Yet you give excuses and all that bull about how you got hurt, damn how many time can a person visit the hospital and when i check online there are ppl vouching for a good job you've done in the same week you're suppose to work on my car while i carpooled everyday to work. You apologize and say "i'll give you a discount on the civic" i guess i should have been smart and taken the discount right then and there. You are not an honest business man. Having you be a moderator here is a conflict of interest since you will delete any negative feedback left by your customers. I will not be surprise to see this thread closed or deleted, worst yet i get banned. If you believe i have posted in the wrong section then please move it. If you prefer, i can start an alarm installer review thread. I just wanted to reply to this thread to speed up his fix so that he will not have to wait months like i have. It is very time consuming and inconvenient. If you did not want to work on the car then please say so, don't drag me along by saying "I figured it out, the remote start will work with a bypass, i can i install it friday" friday comes and we knock on your door and what do you know, desmond is not here again, it happened so many times i don't even know why i bothered, i guess i was being too hopeful either that or you're one heck of a car salesman. Oh here's a kicker, by the way, you still owe me 2 receipts for the installs you have done on the integra and the s2000. my gf is a neat freak and files everything, she called you every week for months since she felt bad for letting you install an alarm in my car, it was suppose to be my birthday present. Driving home with my fender flapping in the wind on the freeway because you destroyed 3 bolts that was suppose to hold it in place (that i had to replace because you dont own an impact gun and work out of a car port at your apartment with a 12 point wrench) is not worth 700 dollars (price includes food for you). An s2000 isn't a cheap car, you basically raped it, where ever you touched was never the same again.

How can i strip a bolt that holds the dash toghter when I didn't even pull out the dash! and how can I kill a heater when there is no need to touch it. And don't let me put pic up of the damage to the underside of your s2k were the first owner jacked up the car and did a crappy job of rolling your fender. It not my fault that he bent the car were the bolts lined up. And it not my fault that they were stripped. I told you that. And you want remote start on a 5 speed when they don't even have the bypass for it anymore. I never charged you for it. And I told you I will not do a remote start on a 5 speed without it. And you do not use a impact gun to remove fender bolts And did I not tell you remote start and security goes out the window. You ask me weeks later to install it. And I kept telling you not to do it. Its my *** on the line if that car damages something. It seems that you are making this post to make me look bad because of the remote start. And yes I was in the hospital for 3 days after I flipped my quad. You do not think I have the internet there. Your not the one with the buldging disk. And yes i did your car at home. There was no need to go to the shop to do it and I did not have room to store it there. Your post is a b.s. one. I done many s2k and there were never a problem. Trust me I am going to find those pictures of your car before we took off the fender with the stripped 10mm bolt heads. and the bent underside of your car were the fenders bolt toghter. Your one of the reason why I take pictures of cars and all there damage before I touch them now. No more false claims to my insurance now. And one of the reason why I do not want to deal with people on the net. Shipping anything or selling anything. It to much drama. false paypal charge back and people saying that they never received there items. Hell paying for shipping stuff that has to be siged for and the dam driver just sets 1k worth of stuff on the front pourch.

I am going to do this. I going to have the body shop man repair damage that I did not do to your car. I will go to the honda dealership and buy the plastic peice or what every that you claim that was broken. Get me a part number. After this I do not want to deal with your cars anymore. And bring the teg by right now and I will see what evers wrong with that that you want to blame me for. Send me a text or pm.

why would i let you touch any of the cars after that fiasco? hahah, after a year and the only way to get a response or a rise out of you is by posting? that's so ridiculous, i guess the only way to get your attention is to post about you when calling, texting, and pms don't work anymore. You can deny whatever you want. The only truth you have up there are my rolled fenders, which by the way have been unrolled and repainted, i guess you don't respect s2ks with rolled fenders or you wouldn't have screwed up so bad and wasted so much of my time. Sure don't use impacts to remove dirt and rust covered fender bolts but please use 12 sided short 4 inch wrenches. Meeting you taught me a real lesson in life, how to spot a bag of crap when i see one. If you're trying to lie and say you didn't leave my car on the side while you work on other cars, i guess i can dig through the forum and find the users who post the exact days you worked on their cars. Not only were they praising you, they post the dates that you work on their cars while mine sits there and I have to carpool. Why the heck would you not be done after 2 weeks? I always give ppl the benefit of the doubt unless it's blaring in my face. The truth is, you can never say i wasn't cool or impatient while you give me the run around. Oh come on, you never give people the run around and blow them off? I'm so shocked

Facts:
I wanted a quality install with all the works for a remote start that you said you can do, i guess i should have seen it coming when you didn't even know you had to remove the steering column just to access the odometer bezel. I guess it was your first s2000 eh?

When i got my car back, my dash rattled and was crooked, i immediately brought it back

When i open my door, my dash indicates that my trunk is open.

It was a bad and incomplete job since you did not keep your word and left damages to my interior while making promises that you can install it. If the install job was perfect then i wouldn't have to go back to your place so often to get stood up. And yes the rolled fenders looked bad but they didn't strip the bolts did they? if you're an s2k owner you would know that the car's entire exterior is made of light weight aluminum and can be easily bent and reshaped. I'm not bad mouthing you, i'm telling about my experience with your service. The amount of time i lost dealing with you is enough to buy me another integra. I want nothing from you and i want nothing to do with you.
I guess the only thing i wanted was to acknowledge that "What do you guys think? This feels weird to me." YES dude, it IS weird, if it doesn't feel right, it probably isn't.
wrx-killer-Sti-eater is an all social friendly guy with many promises until you've paid him and ***** not working out right. You're what they say a flake. I'm sure there are plenty of people who got burned by you who got their threads deleted. A man/business is only as good as his/its word. If you ever want to apologize for the service, you know where to reach me. Karma's going to be a bitch later.

Your a con, Mad because I did not want to install the remote start on the 5 speed. Ranting on a thread for no reason. I woke up one morning and said I wanted to botch your install. The bottom threads that hold the fender on were damage by you or the previous owner. IF you are a s2k owner you would know that you can not jack the car up on the fender bolts that are right next to place were you place the jack. NOT my fault!

Did not even pull the dash out the car and your are claiming that Its loose, Thats the funny one!

Say what ever you want. At this point I don't care. I know the truth. Yes karma is a bitch. It taught me not to trust all people any more!

And I never deleted anyone thread. There you go posting bs again. I am over this. Post all you want. Let me guess I botch every install on my friends list too. Ha. I can have anyone of them vouch that everything was perfect and there car was returned in the same state or better.

What ever your s2k was not the first or last one to be done! And will no be the last. This is my last responce your false outcome.

Sorry about dirtying your thread Dr. *****, I will formerly start a thread on installs that he has botched up. There are plenty of people who are willing to voice their reviews but has always been shot down magically. It is just plain wrong that reviews cannot be made on a public forum, it's like leaving feedback on ebay but the owner has the power to delete all the negative ones. Sure the seller can have 100 positive feedbacks, but it's those 5 negative ones that really kill the ratings. ^ is an angel and is not at all on honda-tech trying to make a buck.

What ever do it. Try to find a botch install. Sorry there is none. Please name all these ones Besides you claiming a botch install on somethings that was never botch or the one member that will not come pick up his stuff. You are starting to talk out your ***. Your claiming all of these botch installs when I can call every person that I have worked on there cars and they do not seem to have a problem. I do have every number too. I keep track of everything.

Funny thing is honda-tech does not support or pay any bills. Nor do I advertise on here. Its all word of mouth and going to meets and people coming into the shop now. I let people make what they want of this. Your post is not going to make me and definitely not going to break me. I getting more pm about security then ever. This will be my last reponce to your weak false post about me. Peace

I ran into this thread and started reading it. I know its your thread and another HT member somehow hi-jacked it. LOL! Anyways, I will vouch for Desmon. I know the feeling when you call him and he doesnt answer or text back. It does feel as if he is avoiding you but from what I have seen when I was with him for 2 whole days (I'm from NorCal and his in SoCal), he gets tons of calls and he doesnt answer all of them. When he is with a customer, he rarely answers his phone. Also sometimes his phone acts up. It might be your are calling him but his phone never rings which is weird I know. Im not posting this to make him look good but letting you know from first hand experience.

He is a really nice guy and goes through a lot of hoops for his customers. Desmon took 2 days off to help me out in my situation. Read about it here:

https://honda-tech.com/forums/southern-california-87/beware-scammer-crown-autosports-vu-tung-socal-2578389/

And he is currently in charge of my car after that tragedy. He has had my car for about a month now and progress can be seen here:

https://honda-tech.com/forums/appearance-build-threads-122/jdmkraziestyles-build-thread-05-28-09-a-2577721/

I know Desmon is always busy and is rarely home. Just to sleep and change from what I have seen and noticed. I think its just a lot of misunderstanding. A friend of mine can vouch for him also since he drove all the way from the Bay Area to get his alarm done by Des. He never lets anyone touch his ITR or even leaves it with them but he left it with Des and it was all good. Des even drove him an hour to a meeting and picked him back up again since he had no ride.

A lot of people expect a lot from Des and he is just one guy. but from what I know, his installs are great and he is well known along with his other friends shop. the build they are doing on my car speaks for itself.

Im sure Des will PM, call, or text you when he gets a chance. i know its frustrating and I feel the same way, but he always ends up answering questions sooner or later. Better than nothing in my opinion. Besides, I think a lot of customers know where he lives and all and why would you scam someone and take them to your house and show them even your rides? If you are a scammer, like Vu Tung, he wont even send you pictures of your car at all or pick you up at the airport. Des takes his time with his customers and offers advises unlike other shops that charges for consultation.

For me, Des is a good guy that will solve your problems one way or another.
