Viper 790xv or Phython 990 Do they work on manual trans
Im debating on these two alarms. Im wondering do they offere the manual safe gaurds?
The autostarter in my truck now requires me to push a button then take the key out of the ignition then getting out of truck and push the lock button witch locks the door and turns the truck off.

There is a DEI module that you can add to it to get the feature you have in your truck with the 790x and 990 alarm but i can't remember the model. Or you can just get an Clifford alarm and intelli start module it has the feature for manual cars. I think compustar has that feature in there alarms also.
Neither the 790x or the 990 are compatible with standard transmissions.
As mentioned there is an "adapter" module that you can get from DEI or Peripheral that will allow you to use a made for automatic transmission only remote start on a standard transmission car, but also as mentioned DEI does make remote starts for cars with standard transmissions as does Compustar and most remote start manufacturers.
Your better off getting an alarm/remote start combo unit compatible with your 5 speed then to get one for automatic transmission only and adding the adapter, besides saving you money, [up to $100] it will save you a lot of wiring. 94
