Default Ran The Type S for Time Last Nite

Wel, Last Night was the First time I ran my 05 Type S for time and I was Pretty happy. I went Through 3 Type S's so far. When I had my 04 w/ AEM SRI, I only did a 15.4, When I Had my 02, Injen SRI, Comptech Shorty Headers, Greddy Evo 2 Exhaust I only got a 15.6.....IDK. But My Stock 05 Ran a 15.07 @ 92.69 mph. Our Local Drag strip is in Redding, Ca. And Ive known some people who Run there and Run @ Sacramento and they all tell me you Run better times In Sac compared to our tracks. So Maybe Might Take a trip to Sac to Run for time again later on. So, Im satisfied.

what does your 94 b20vtec have to do with anything?

op, what elevation are you racing at? i'd think you would be in the 14's in cali with that car.

I know for a factor that elevation, temperature, and how the track is preped all effect your running time. Soo what exactly did you run the b20 in? Hopefully not a crx cause that still pretty slow. haha jk man. I really meant to say, THATS COOL!

not. bad you should be able to hit 14's with some practice. just get your launch down and when you shift take notice how much your rpms drop. the stock vtec dip sucks so that plays a key role. try to stay in vtec the entire way and you'll be in 14's in no time

I ran the 15.07 @ 92.69 mph, 0-60ft time was 2.397 sec, w/ a reaction time of .06581. And the only thing I did to the car was lower the tire pressure to 25 psi on street tires.

nahh dude, stock runs mid 15's all day especially with STOCK tires. If you had some drag tires you can possibly hit 15 flat.

Driver skill is a huge thing. I've seen people run ridiculous times that you wouldn't think were possible with these cars. I've seen an EP3 with bolt ons run a 14.7 and such.

Keep practicing your launches and you'll be hitting 14s in no time!

nice race bro! You said you have rbc intake manifold did you ever run the car with that on it before you got it tuned? I heard that with out a tune you could possibly lose power by putting that on

Did you go around the burn out water? First few times I went to the track I kept going through the water and was running anywhere from a 15.4 to a 15.9. A guy came up to me one day and told me to avoid the water on street tires. I ran a 15.01 on the first run. Yeah, I know it's not an RSX, but the effects could be the same.

Nice Times, Yea I was hoping by the end of that night Id at least break a 14.9 but i Only got 2 Run 3x. My cousin who owns an 02 S that has CAI n Reflash Ran mid 14's on Street slicks. So for bone stock I dont think I did too bad. But We do have a shitty track so LOL. Ima be running a CAI next time n see if Id get into a 14.9 @ least, well see tho.

Try running lower psi on your tires and getting off a better launch, i would experiment between 18-22psi and see what results you get from that. Altitude does play a big factor, i live in CO and n/a cars go at least a full second slower at 6000ft. Sucks.
