Douse your flames, I have searched and read just about all posts on brakes and still uncertain about this: I have a bad booster in my civic lx (drum brake) I know its 9 inch but I have a sol s 8 inch booster laying around and both look interchangeable, questiion= what effects/changes will I have if I go this route? Thanks in advance BTW tried to pm "brake expert" but he has been banned.

 

how do you know you booster is bad
what tests did you peform to get that its bad

 

The smaller booster would most likely create a harder push on the pedal because it will have less vacuum to work with and in effect decreasing the power of the brake pedal push.

 

ya^^^ stick with the 9inch

 

When changing brake parts. . go equal or bigger, never smaller.
