its been so long since i drove my accord that i loved.....

i recently did a swap cause i craked my block. to the F23a motor.

it doesnt seam like vtec is working thou . i have my full toque back but my powerband dont seam to change when i hid 2.5k rpm.

i used the vtec solenoid from the F23a and had to swap connector and add the sensor that was on my solenoid fromt he f23a1. im not throwing a CEL but just feels like its not engaing.

would my ECU not be set to this jdm solenoid ?

 

I would have keep the VTEC solenoid from the original engine. PITA to swap it now but that's what I would do.

 

well i disconected the connecter to the solenoid n my car wouldnt go over 4k rpm n threw cel . so it is reading it.

i do need to do a valve adj. tipical ticking noise

i also need to look at the distributer see what shape its in.

 

fix'd . used usdm vtec solenoid. got vtec back. yay
