Default installing bucket seat harnesses

My crx is an 89 si... It seems as if the only option i have is to put a roll bar because for one there werent back seats in the car to begin with so there are no holes to bolt the harnesses to and for second I cant use a harness bar because it came with seat belts on the door... any other option or is the roll cage/ roll bar the only option. thanks in advance for any advoce given

Oh my. Spinal compression anyone?

OP - Don't listen to this moron. Get a roll bar and install your harnesses properly. The roll bar (not just a harness bar) protects your roof from caving in and crushing your neck since you can't slide out of a 4-point harness the way you would out of your stock seatbelt. Also, mounting your harness straps at basically a 90-degree angle like that dipstick is a guaranteed spinal compression in a collision. They need to me mounted at 45 degrees or lower (ie, 0 degrees when mounted on a harness bar).

bucket seat, harness and rollbar/cage act as a system for safety. having everything bolted up and installed properly is the only way to go.

if you just want the looks, do whatever you want.

What's sad people who don't do this.

I've never got hassled during safety inspections and i made my roll cage drunk

It's not hard to do right, people just need to stop half assing things. It shocks me how lax most race classes are.

Granted I did get thrown out of a drag strip before for pulling 143 and change on my ET with just a drive shaft safety loop

as you can see, Navy_CRX did not post up again, so he now knows he is a dumba$$ for putting his life at MORE of a risk for installing them like this.

Get a harness bar, and install the belts the RIGHT way.

nope 88 is the only model that came with the seat belts on the pillar... kinda sucks because theres a whole mess of people on ebay selling these for the crx (regardless of quality or what not) yet it only fits one specific year...

thats funny cause most of the 89 crx's and hatches ive worked on had them on the pillar maybe your doors are wrong, have you removed the panels to see if its truely an 89 or 90

88's and 89 hf's only came with pillar belts.

This is like the most trivial crx knowledge...
