Default need help removing air conditioning

hey im trying to take out my a/c but i cant really figure out how. can anyone help? i have a 1990 civic si hatch. i read a few manuels and they say its under pressure and other stuff. so pleace someone give me a step by step on how to remove it. please hurry.

all right this is what i did i losened the lines on the compressor just enough and shook the lines till all was gone. then i took every thing out hope this helps

how did you dispose of the a/c refrigerant? cause its sum nasty stuff. also is there a pressure release or something? also, where did you disconnect from?

I took mine to a shop to drain the freon, then I removed all the lines, compressor, etc etc "ALOT of parts all over the car related to the AC" do it the right way!!

ok i wanted to originally do that, but the problem is im in the middle of a swap and the a/c is in the way of me pulling the engine out. any sugestions?

the way i did it is, take the bumper, and the hood release thing off. then the radiator. i got the longest flat head that i could find (in my tool box).the top a/c hose has a valve, with the long flat head release the freon ( be really careful you don't get your self ..u know why) keep it like that until the pressure is over. then take off the compressor. then the top hoses then the rest, its a little frustrating ........have fun........
