B18C gsr suddenly kicks vtec at 4500rpm
I have a jdm honda integra 1996 SiR-G RHD from japan and the car is perfect. I've put a complete catback 2.5inch mandrel bent on the car and all of a sudden the vtec kicks in at 4500rpm. There is no cel on and the car runs strong, but the only thing I have noticed is that the vtec kicks in too early (4500 rpm) I have disconnected the ecu and connected it back, but it's still the same.
Can somebody tell me why is he doing that and how can I fix that?
Thanks.

uh, i believe vtec is always supposed to kick in at 4500 rpm on a stock gsr. Every stock ecu GSR i have ever driven, which is allot, has always kicked in at 4500 rpm, i think with the exhaust, your just able to hear it allot more and possibly feel it more. I wouldn't be worried.
vtec doesnt kick at 4500 rpms thats the secdaries opening the earlyest vtech will open is 5000 on some of the p72 and p30 ecus most ar 55 or 5600 rpms

^^X2, that is exactly correct. Redflare you shouldn't post misleading information of which you have no experience or knowlege about.
