noob question
Hry all... Feel like an idiot for asling this but... I have a 2000 hatch, and i bought a ctr replica mesh grill... And i cant figure out how to get the screws/caps out of the old grill? They are 5 black plastic round, flat screws holding the grill in... Ive tried popping them off, turning them, i was probably working on one for 20 minutes. I dont want to wreck them so i can reuse them... But how do i get them off?
dont use pliers, use a flathead screwdriver...the center pops out. just be careful because those little bastards are 3.00 a piece from honda... real pain in the *** when you accidentally leave all 7(5 on grill and 2 on bumper) laying in your mud flap before taking off for a meeting and losing all of them on the road... $23.48 and 7 clips later my bumpers back on lol... if you have trouble after you pop the center of them out use the flathead again at the base of the clips and lightly push/pull on the top of the grill to help free them up. Hope this helps
Can't forget that the grill is mounted to the bumper as well. there are screws on the bottom too that hold the grill and bumper together, so you'll have to remove the whole front bumper as well.
