Rear hub bearing?
I have a 99 DX. I'm getting a crunching/clicking noise from the left rear when I brake or corner hard. It always happens the first time I drive it, after sitting for a couple of hours, when I brake. Then, I guess after it "warms up", it only happens when I corner hard. Especially right hand turns. I of course have rear drums. Could it be those, or the hub bearing? I took the drums off and they 'looked' fine. The drum shoes also look fine. I took the hub off and couldn't see anything. I didn't get the bearing's out though since I assume I'd need a press. What could it be and would the dealer have replacement bearings? And approx what would it cost to do that? Thanks!
Rear wheel bearings get louder as speed increases when there going bad.
To replace it take of the drum
pry of the dust cap
Take off the 32mm hub nut
Remove the hub by pulling
the new bearings come with hubs from the dealer.
