Before everyone flames him for incorrect chassis codes, note that he is in Germany, not the U.S so they do have the REAL EGs and EKs.

I do prefer the Non sunroof EG6, which is what i currently own EH2 in the USA. Im not sure if whether they offered Sunroofed EG's overseas.

I love my '92 CX (EG if you will). It's the lightest of the 5th Gen hatches and one of the lightest Civics ever. Makes a great hybrid due to power to weight ratio.

Nothing better than a real EG9 (4 doors debadge and dewing ,so it look like a sleeper and best thing is the bucket seats in the back of the car)

I'd go for a 92 EX Sedan.
1) I'm always with friends
2) I want luxury in my Civic.....GSR leather, moonroof, power options, ac, etc.
3) Sedans are cheaper insurance
4) A little more power.....still equipped with VTEC
5) 4 wheel disc brakes
My list could go on and be more detailed, but I just woke up and don't feel like typing a whole lot.

An Eg6..Why ?? 'cause I just bought one ..hehe..I could've bought a Prelude or something instead,but I didn't..I just love hatches Can't help it..

So is the EG, EK, EH classifications taken out of the VIN number?
I know my del Sol has a VIN with EG2 in the VIN, on a blue VIN tag. Sorry for the newbie question, but I was just curious....

I like the EL cuz of the interior. I go on long road trips, so pw, pdl, leather, a/c, ps, and all that other crap is nice. I drive a 92CX and it sucks cuz I live in Utah and it's hot here.

If you are looking for an answer such as the coupes handle like ****...or the hatches are only for the strip cause of weight or something than get real. You need to figure out what you wanna do with your car. It's all about the look really...once you gut it out you can decide which engine to drop in and what you want to do with your car b4 you need us techers to decide for you on behalf of our experiences. Remember bro...you can't go wrong with a honda...specially a 5th gen! YAAAA baby i love my 95 ej1!

I prefer a coupe because I feel as though the hatchback doesn't have an '***", it looks like it's cut off, but I don't mind hatchbacks.
I like the Coupe because of the trunk, and space, and i had to have my moon roof as well as electrical locks, mirrors, etc. It's the best looking with luxory of electric w/o having an accord or prelude which is heavy and i can still auto-cross very well
But if i were to get another Civic I would get a 99-00 hatch OR coupe (I love both of them) because I love the headlights and taillights of both the EK and the EJ's.
