Default B18 Engine build

I plan on startn with a fresh JDM B18 and buildin it up slowly. I want to start with headers, exhaust then work into the engine. After the simple stuff I want to do a Hondata S100 ecu swap with the stock. Ive been wondering what time into the build should I swap in Toda c camshafts? And if it would work with Hondata S100? Or should I just build up from lower spec cams and go up from there.

what kind of hp do you want? what do you want to do with this car? what kind of budget are you working with? these are questions you shoud be asking yourself before planning on a build. as for toda cams, yes they are great, yes they perform well. but for the price of a set of them, you can sometimes put together a nice little turbo kit and have a faster ride than just with cams. have you considered forced induction of any sort? its not as expensive as you might think. especially if you are planning on doing the work by yourself.

As close as I can to 300. I want a all motor build, and build it up slowly, Itll be a daily driver. Well until I have enough money to buy a seperate car. But I dont have the motor yet. Im just planning everything out. I like turbos but Im more bout all motor power.

300hp on a all motor build is going to cost you alot... Hope you have deep pockets.

i had a friend on superhonda that did 250 all motor in his integra, he was almost at 4k before he had 250 na hp. and that was in a gsr. you may want to reconsider your hp goal.

most na honda's run very high comp. and normally need to run race fuel just to run correctly. you get anything over 12:1 compression and not even hondata can save you from running race fuel. I don't think you will get that kind of hp just running cams and tune. Turbo is realiable (if built right), and can get well more than 300 if needed

Boost is the most reliable path to 300 HP, and probably the cheapest, unless you want to consider nitrous.

Thanks guys. 250 hp is about right for what I want, I dont want to race fuel though. But I am thinkin about a nitrous setup. Im thinkn bout considerin turbo. But I really like keepin it "All" motor. Its not goin to be all at once, Ill build on as I go.

hey i know you really want to keep it NA but for a 300 HP goal thats an accomplishment, i would suggest building the motor up some like you wanna do, internals/fuel/computer all that fun stuff and then consider forced induction, on a B18 you can run 5 LBS of boost all day long and not have a problem, especially if its built, just remember tuning is one of your best friends when it comes to building your motor, GL with your build.

Why couldn't you?

the shot size depends on your tune and the guts of the motor, fuel as well.
