redline
i was wondering where's the best shift point on this car. well let me start by saying where im from there's no dyno. what i got under the car is a integra ls motor with b16 pistons, cams valve spring and retainers. and sprockets with a chiped ecu. so where's the best shift point while racing. 7k? 7,500 or 8K..thanx...
no stock head studs..that's all i got though...yeah an ls motor on a crx...so 7200 for it to be safe? someone said i could rev hight cause i got the cams, valve spring retainers sprockets and a b16 piston..correct me if im wrong, i don't wanna shift to high and end up hearing a pop in my car...
the ls motor's stock rev limiter is 7200 rpms. yes you might have supporting modifications, but, remember, the stock bottom end is only going to hold together with abuse for so long. now, if you go buy some rod bolts by arp, you'd be fine to rev higher. another thing i would recommend is that with cams, retainers, ect... you might want to get it tuned. then your tuner can adjust your redline so that you don't over rev the engine. having head studs does make a difference, but you aren't running forced induction, so i don't think your gonna have a problem with the stock bolts. here's a link to a comany that sells arp bolt. cheapest i've found. http://shopping.lightningmotorsports...8mm-p-127.html
