Get a manual - seriously.
you have to remove all the accesory belts, driver's side wheel, crank pulley, valve cover, timing belt covers, and whatever else is in the way. As long as you are in there you may consider replacing the timing belt tensioner assembly.
Tme totally depends on your tools as well as if the crank pulley bolt is a problem to remove. Use search and check out the nightmares that some people have with the vrank pulley. Also check into the various techniques and tools used for that bolt.
This would be a good time to consider outting on a vtec head if you have a d-series motor and were considering a mini-me.

It's not that hard once you start it - biggest part is getting the crank pulley bolt off. Presoak A/C,P/S, alternator bolts before you start. If you don't have a 400ft/lb+ impact, go to a shop and have them zip your crank pulley bolt off, then back on tight enough to get you home. Really, it'll save you a lot of trouble.
Alternator, you only need to remove the nut from the outside, I spent 1 hr trying to get the back one off too, then realized I could just swivel the alternator towards the engine.
Memorize how things went on like the crank pulley and timing belt holder things - they have to face the correct way when you install them.
