Kill Switch
I would like to install one on mines. It seems that this platform is beggining to get alot of attention from thieves latelly from what Ive seen in other forums. I would like to see a DIY for our platform. Belive it or not this mod saved my EM1 once and it gave me time to put clothes on and run after a 16 yr punk.
You must of never had your car stolen or alarm horn ripped out by thieves. Alarms barely do anything for honda's anymore. Yes they work but there are many that know how to get around them. If you have a kill switch it will buy you more time to get them and/or you'll still have your car where you left it.
I had a Acura Integra LS Turbo with Alarm and Kill switch. The alarm was cut out of it but they couldn't find my kill switch which lead directly to the fuel pump. My turbo kit was gone and my hid's.. But my car was still there when i got there.

So no, I have never had my car stolen. But if I did, a quick call to progressive would get me a new civic and the extra 130 dollars a year on the premium I pay gives me the coverage to cover all my aftermarket parts up to 15,000. So I could replace the turbo and continue to torment all you poor saps out there
TURBO FO LIFE MY THIEVING THUG BRUTHA'S!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOW is all i have to say to that. and make sure every siggle nut, bolt, turbo, etc has a reciept and picture of it on your car. ins companies in general are really cracking down on auto theft espically on our honda. and even worse in the economic slump we are in. best of luck on your kill switch installation, i am in for a how to write up

They stole your turbo and your HID'S? Who would bother for the HID'S? Christ where the **** do you live!? Sounds like you should not have spent money on the turbo and made your priorities being in a better neighborhood and not just a HOOD!

Hey guys I have a turbo!
The only reason i ask this question is that i was wondering if the car was set up pretty good and if the immobilizer worked. Iv seen videos on youtube with the immobilizer flashing and a solid green key while they were driving?
lol i didnt think about it like that..

Actually it's on my ***. The ladies like it almost as much as my turbo
Asking to get help with applying a kill switch on your ride is like advertising to the world of thieves to take your car.
You need to be original about installing something, without telling. Your best bet is to talk to an electrician or an auto electronics installer, who is reputable and who can help you devise a system that works for you and only you.
a lot of people on here are right about an alarm. the alarm is just a box with a brain that relys on a source and all that's needed is to remove that box and the alarm shuts off. Professional thieves can disable your car within seconds.
You can't share the work with your friends, because they will obviously know how your **** works. Loose lips sink ships, its inevitable...I've read many of stolen cars stories and reading to find out that the thief was someone within their circle of friends....some friends huh. You just can't trust anyone these days, its a sad society that we live in.
If a thief really wants to take a car, they will find a way...even if its by using a tow truck, sad but true. A friend of mine who went to HIN had has Del Sol taken from the lot by a tow truck. no one will question because they have a view of hey this guy is parked illegally and so off it went...but that wasn't the case.
The best things I've heard to use now is.
1. pay for GPS tracking and alerting.
2. paging devices via installed alarm.

Amen to that...except go ninja and use a gun with a silencer...don't need attention more than you already have.
My dad used to say, "the best alarm for a car is to install electrical wires in the seat so when the thief starts the car, they get a nice electrocution in their ***."
