Mike “Mad Dog” Peters and ProTrack Racing are presenting the second annual Dog Days of Summer at Willow Springs Saturday & Sunday, June 13 & 14. For those who don’t know Mike, he is the head HPDE 3 instructor for NASA Southern California region. He’s an excellent teacher and a great guy and last year’s Dog Days sold out in 9 days.

Early registration prices are: $225 for 2 days on the big track; $120 for one day. Coaching is available as well as data & video analysis by MaxQData, who install their GPS-based data acquisition and 2-camera video capture system in your car for the event. The prices for coaching and data/video analysis are truly amazing: $50 for email critique/coaching with data and video captured in your car, analyzed after the event and a summary emailed to you, or $150 for live coaching (limited to 3 people per day). In addition to the professional data logging/in-car video based coaching option, there will also be a professional videographer at the event and Mike says they may even have the ability to video cars with a professional Mercedes camera car on track. He says he’ll keep the early bird price open as long as he can, but that may be only 5-7 days.
