will 1996-2000 jdm b18b pass smog or reff in 1993 integra???
ok i got a 1993 integra LS. i need to replace the longblock since mine is pretty much gone. If i was to replace it with a 96-2000 jdm b18b longblock and use all my stock components like transmission, header, intake manifold, all sensors, fuel rail, injectors, and ecu will i still pass the CALIFORNIA smog or if i reff it would it pass? im asking this cuz of the new law they just pass recently on april 15th about no jdm motors. im assuming this motor will be a direct replacement for my integra. the reason i ask this is cuz my car is my daily driver so i dont want to get a jdm motor and not pass smog with it or have to go reff it and not pass. usdm motors with low miles are soo hard to come by now days. pls help me if you can.
No because the newer Ls is a b18b motor and thy will see that. You need all the OBD2 parts for you to pass.
im sure it will pass smog if you use all your stock stuff as you metioned.. dont think youll even need to ref it.. as long as you use your usdm intake manifold.. get a second opinion though.. correct me if im wrong..
well i dont know then.. lol.. didnt think they can tell by looking at the block and head.. if he uses all his stock sensors and stuff..
Thy do. I just got my car bared and thy looked at every thing. The smoging places also will look at the block.

but i tot that if the car came with the motor then it would be fine with the jdm one. wouldnt it be just direct replacement?
i just called to a sacramento bar and smog station and they said as long as it's a 1.8 in the integra and is 93 or newer then it should be fine. but on here im getting alot of sayings that they wont even smog a jdm motor. it's a damn headache
I might be wrong, but I heard if you bring a hawt girl in a bikini they won't pay as close attention to detail like #'s when looking over your motor.
just get an engraver and engrave a number 1 after the b18b and make its a b18b1 lol. and boomboompow. USDM as fxck
