Car lacks power under load?
Okay so my check engine was throwing a code 43 and i figured it was o2 or fuel filter so i replaced both of them, and its still lacking so much power as if i am in limp mode. I reset the ecu numerous times and it is not throwing a 43 anymore but not producing in power at all. And my speedo is out becuase my cable is broken and prob about a month ago my speedo was bouncing around from 0 to 40 to 120, etc. When it was doing this i could mash the gas and the car would rip threw gears like it was back but then quit once the speedo went back down to 0. And now the speedo doesnt bounce at all and i still have no power. I just switched the wires, plugs, oil, and re did my timing tonight and no luck! Even compression tested it and im 150 ACROSS!!!! freaking perfect compression! I AM STUMPED! im thinking it has to be an ecu issue to where it still thinks i am in limp mode! Does anyone have any suggestions at all? Thanks so much
hey, this has happened to me before, my car has automatic tranny and by some negligence of mine, i ran out of automatic transmission fluid and my speed sensor located by the transmission burnt out, i had the sensor replaced and it was ok after that
hope this helps
hope this helps
oh man my speedo ripped off when i put my new clutch in....so i guess i will get that fixed to see if that works...would a speed sensor throw it into limp mode though? like most cars do not but im not sure about the accords?
mine did, there was a junk yard a few blocks away from my mechanic, he got a spare from a wrecked tranny, stuck it in and i drove away like nothing happened, try it out, i saw from the local honda dealer that the sensor wasn't that expensive
tell me if it works, uv got a manual tranny, mine was AT and it was really screwed up coz it would go slow like 30 kph then the speedo would show 150 and the tranny would shift up even tho i was so slow, it was hell on the hi way, was really lucky i didnt get into an accident
