the reason i got pulled over was for mod exhaust its not stock but its quiet and 3 mounths ago i got it sighned off so why is it illegal now and i was waching a disabled kid and i refused to pop my hood and he said i would go to jail and i couldent becuase i would be indagering welfair of this chiled. so i had cat and stock pipe but can is affter market cuzz of old one rusted to nuthing. i have a b16 obd0 thats bone stock even manie so any one hit me up live in cali
no way around ref. convert to obd1 and find the p30 and hope to pass. they are a lot stricter now than when i reff'ed my crx. you could also swap in an LS and reff that way....so much easier in my opinion
yo thanks i talked to u earlyer about this can i use a hi flow cat off ebay it has the honey combs or should i just get stalk becuase mine been off and on all my cars ands it 20 years old
here is what i did....
get an aftermarket semi-direct fit cat. all that means is that it is adjustable. go reff after your done swap in your hi-flow and swap it back on when its time for smog. this way it stays new everytime. hahahahaha

if u go to the ref u will pretty much have to make it LEGAL to drive ur car again...everything has to be smog legal and yes that means u WILL need a cat to pass the sniffer test..
cops just needed a reason to pull u over and pop ur hood so that y ur exhaust is illegal...i had the same happen to me, pulled over for exhaust and had my hood pop...took me 9months to make my jdm gsr legal but im finally Bar'd

To the OP, you don't have a lot of choices but to pull that motor out and put back the stock motor. Or, do what the other poster said about getting a 94-95 Del Sol vtec ECU and manifold, convert to OBD1 and try to BAR it as a Del Sol.

you should tell your buddy to put the stock manifold on. some refs are dicks and wont pass visual with the skunk or any other aftermarket one even though you have a carb sticker for it.
