Spoon DC5R vs. Spoon EP3R vs. Phase Ek9R. Video inside!
Cibicuh a Hi-yai! Was that a Best Motoring vid? Sounded like a different announcer, usual drivers tho, looked like Tsuchiya, Hattori and someone else I couldn't recognize.

but what I wonna know is what would have happened if they had raced those cars and then the older race cars as well (EG, DC2...ect) who would have won?

Phase Ek9 - Orido (Drives the Denso Supra)

what vid & volume is that from? Best Motoring?
lol.. They normally criticise their driving more rather than the car. Every car they drive is fast to them.
They are basically talking about the handling of the car that they are driving. At one point the EK9R drivier laughs as he gives up the corner to the EP3R. The narrator gives technical info on each car.
Wow..i never realized that the new Civic and Integra were so quick(even tho they were most likely heavily modded)...they seem to have a lot of pulling power...and yes..the EK got owned... too bad..great driving by all... I am starting to like the little mini-van more and more now...
looks like the ek got a head start against the rest. Did you guy see that three wheel motion from the new civic during the turn. Awesome video, still waiting to get part 2. shweet
Part 1:
The driver of the Ek9 felt that the 400cc difference made a flying start negligible. He laughs and sings (he always sings while he drives...kinda like his habit) down the straight. On the straights, the driver of the DC5 comments on the EP3's power and how the DC5 can only keep up. Commentator says, its mostllikely due to the weight difference and power steering (i dont understand why this will affect accelaration???). DC5 driver comments that although corner exit acceleration is slower than the EP3, cornering speed is a bit better than the EP3. Commentator: the caliper and 17" rotor setup being a lot larger than the EK9 setup, the DC5 and EP3 have a better bite and the recent generation of ABS systems have really been perfected that it should now be a neccessity on race cars. The Spoon DC5 here does not actually have the ABS system as per rules of the Integra One-Make Race.
Part 2:
Commentator: the Phase EK9, although one of the top contendors in the Civic Intercup, and despite the big lead at the start, has lost that margin in just two laps.
EP3 dives into the corner overtaking EK9: Tsuchiya laughs while Orido (EK9) sly comment towards him...though always jokingly. As the EK9 gets passed by the DC5, he basically blames it on the 400cc diff. He also says the suspension and handling characteristics are diff: "stability is different"
Commentator: EP3 and DC5's both share the strut type suspension, but Spoon has seemed to figure out the stroke length issues and it shows definately on this course (Ebisu circuit) where it is very bumpy.
