HELP ON PRICING!!! JDM CRX SIR TURBOCHARGED!!!!
1) I have a few questions i'd really appreciate some answers on.....how much realistically is this car worth with all the mods?
2) What is a good tuner shop around orange county that does good turbo, nos, and engine work?
3) What is a safe shot of nitrous to go along with my turbo just for fun? and how much should i be paying for install?
4) How much should I pay total installation included for a turbo timer? Do i even need one if i have the newest pager viper alarm that can keep my car on and running for 5-10 mins. after i lock the doors?
5) What is the next mod that i should do to my car to make it faster? (cheaper the better....i don't have $2000 to be investing in a car)
6) What safety procautions should i start taking so my turbo or engine doesn't blow out on me someday and get stuck on the freeway??? THANKS FOR ALL YOUR INPUT AND HELP!!!
This is a one of a kind car. It is a 1991 CRX Si (CLEAN TITLE!!!) It has a built GSR Motor tuned to making 300WHP @10Psi. The engine is built to handle at least 16Psi or 400+ WHP. I don't know why but after i got my viper alarm installed in my 91' Honda CRX, my engine started overheating when i was driving. Like the right corner where the water/coolant container is was smoking really bad and the fluid levels were there. Is there a problem with the intercooler getting accidentally disconnected? In the first picture of the engine, the far right lower corner toward the blinker that is filled with coolant or water was boiling and smoking and overflooding. Also, the second picture of i believe is the headers or turbo or something was really hot and when i poured cold water on it, it started steaming really bad. What do you think the problem is? Should i take my car too a shop immediately? Or is it too damaging to engine if i drive it all over steaming and hot???? Any answers would be much appreciated. The oil was also low so i put in synthetic oil.....is this bad for the car if i was using regular oil? Will it mess up my engine and cause over heating? THanks.
