HID question plsss
i want to buy a new HID light sets but i have about question about the instruction how to install the HID light. and how to get rid of the error messages. moreover, which HID light would be better? 8000k or 6000k or else? since i'm new here plss let me knoe
Never heard of an error message with HID kits, but I don't drive an 06+ Civic.
Don't go higher than 6000k unless you want a tacky blue light with poor lighting.
I used to have 6000k, and it wasn't that bad, but I find that 5000k is the perfect balance between color and purpose. Your headlights will look mostly white with a slight hint of blue, and the light dispersed won't be that nasty yellow color that 4300k bulbs usually paint the road.

Search but I'm feeling generous today.
Never heard of an "error message". Regarding your question, you have two choices: Complete retrofit or Plug-n-Play kit. I'm assuming the latter so it's a simple plug and play. Nothing complex. Regarding light output, I recommend 4300k~5000k for functionality. Anything higher is for appearance.

I think the error message OP is referring to is the DRL lamp on the dash. I don't think they work with HID kits. I mean the low powered headlights. It goes off when you turn the headlights on.
^that
To get rid of the DRL error just remove the fuse for the DRLs. You won't have them anymore, and instead you'll have to manually turn the headlights on during the day if DRL's are required by law. The light will be off though.

So why is it that the DRL's don't work with HID kits. Is it a voltage variation or something coming from the transformer or something that trips the idiot light?
Because HIDs use a transformer to convert voltage, they will work with neither voltage nor pulse width modulation.
Of course, none of this would be a concern if people didn't illegally stuff HIDs into headlamps not designed for them, but none of you want to hear that...
I doubt it's illegal. I do it because it's actually better for the environment. They consume less power than OEM issued halogen bulbs so my altenator labors less and there is more power available for my TURBO!
Because swapping any halogen bulb to a HID capsule is illegal in the US. The only way to legally have HIDs is if the car came with them.
The law went into affect when too many people started stuffing HID capsules into reflector based headlamps.
Doubt all you want, its been illegal for a few years now.
Glare from a HID kit causing a distraction (at best) or serious visibility issues (at worse) for other drivers is not good for the environment when it causes accidents.
Really, only a proper HID projector can take full advantage of the output from a HID capsule. Anything else is over concentrating the foreground light, killing night vision. HID lamps have a much wider beam pattern than a halogen, allowing them to make use of the extra light.
You can read a bunch about this in the Lighting forum.
Anyway, I'm not one to chastise (too much). My car has less than legal modifications as well. I just hate, beyond all imaginable amount, people who blind me with their cheap HID kit in a factory reflector, and even more so with the glare inducing 8000K and higher color temps. Do whatever you want to your car as long as it does not compromise the safety of others, and unfortunately headlamps do.
Just pull the DRL fuse if you want to run HIDs in a car without a quad headlamp configuration (separate highbeam bulb).
And just to be clear. I ain't hating. Ask a question I know the answer to, and I'll answer.
