Windshield and Molding
I've just had my windshield replaced and I noticed that it now sits lower then the old one. There's now a thin gap between the windshield and the decorative molding around it. At high speeds, air flowing under the molding has actually popped the top part off on two separate occasions.
What I was considering was laying down a bead of silicon caulking to seal the gap, but was wondering about the tension on the windshield. I've heard that doing something like this would crack the windshield over time, but I wanted a second opinion.
