I want to lower my ek sedan about 2-2.5 inches, and i'm on a budget. What would you guys recommend buying that wont cost me an arm and a leg but will still give good ride and quality?

What a bunch of bullshit. I lowered my daily on H&R race springs with skunk2 sport shocks and front camber kit, used washers in the back to shim out the camber and got an alignment. Doesn't chew up tires with -2* fr -1.5* rr and zero toe all around.

I'm personally a bit picky about suspension setup, and while I call the setup slightly underdamped, everyone that rides in the car compliments the ride and swears I must have spent more than I did.

Don't ever let anyone tell you you can't do something on a budget. Careful planning and selection of parts will always net better results than just assuming that you have to throw cubic dollars at your car.

Here's a pic from the day after I lowered the car, it ended up settling about another 3/8" from this pic.

Also did my own alignment, which saved me a few more bucks. I don't reccomend doing this unless you know what your doing though.

You can get decent ride quality in a lowered car, but it wont be like stock. It will be much firmer at best. When lowering you have to increase spring rate to avoid ground and body contact and this creates a rougher ride. Being on a budget you should pick a good set of shocks first then later get springs or coil sleeves. koni sport shocks and ground control coil sleeves is very popular and isnt too expensive.

The Progress set is relateively inexpensive and I have no problem daily driving on them.
