Default Where to Find Metric Sealing Plugs?

Not sure of the proper terminology but I have a couple related projects which would benefit from a threaded "plug". No bolt head, just like a large dia set screw but really stubby.

Looking for one of these, but metric and in tons of assorted sizes (think M6-M14):

Found some NPT fittings at Earls which might just be what I need but still wondering what else may be out there.

I've also seen some OEM ones but can't find ones in the sizes I need, all the oem ones seem to be huge.

metric straight threads don't seal on the threads. the one you have pictured is a tapered thread plug. the metric version would be BSPT as opposed to NPT

Yes, I'm aware of the difference between straight and tapered. At this point I'd be stoked to find either... My needs are pretty basic and more cosmetic than functional so straight thread could be used. Its just been impossible to find anything it seems like and was wondering if there's a key term I'm missing...

well since a short straight thread bolt with no head on it would serve virtually no purpose I doubt you're going to find something like that. Maybe used as set screws but ive only seen small diameters. Bspt threaded plugs can probably be found on mcmaster

Check with Fastenal. They have pretty much any fastener you can imagine, and they will even custom make them if it doesn't exist. I have one local to me, so let me know if you want me to check with them.

The technical term is "countersunk plug". We stock them only in NPT sizes. McMaster might stock them in metric sizes but I'm not sure.
