I was going to buy some from a guy but he warned me and claimed that he could not pass inspection with them... why would it matter that they were black and not clear liek the originals.. im not sure but he kept trying to insure me he couldnt pass inspection sense they were not in their orginial state.

They are oem but just painted black liek you see in the DIY's so im not sure. i thought i would ask and see if anyone else had any problems? i couldnt see why in the world u could not pass.. but hey it does not hurt to ask.

 

Just the housing is painted black, right? not the lens? I don't know why that wouldn't pass...I have black ebay projector headlights (which I terribly regret installing) on my car and it passes fine...

Maybe it wouldn't pass because the reflective material on those headlights might be painted over...idk tho. I'm sure you could find someone to pass that anyways.
