i messed with my wires now my car wont start....
as it says, i bought the car with the wires for a security system, and i wanted to take em out, and i did somethin cause now it wont start, look at these pics and tell me if u can help, thanks!! http://www.imagestation.com/album/?i...ulation_page=Y
im workin on this car with him too...........i think the red wire sticking out was a kill switch for the ignition but im not sure.........if we take the ignition switch out, will we be able to tell? bump
ok. checkout the manuals available on my sig's link, the last 10 pages of the manual (not the vtec supplement the other one) print em. Trace the wires from the ECU and under the dash. Match the colors, figure out what they do. (i'm tired or i'd look up the colors in those pics for ya)
I put in my alarm with remote start and a ton of features using that (spliced like 15 lines), once you figure out what every wire is doing - everything is simple from there.

Damn.. Just looked at all the pics.. Excuse me, but that is the sh*tiest, messiest wiring job that I've seen.
Take your multimeter and check if you get any volts from that red wire when you have the ignition on. It almost looked like that red wire popped out of one of those butt connectors.

You might also want to check your ignition wires and try and reconnect them if cut (most likely if there is a kill switch).. Shouldn't be too hard to find because it'll be in the loom.. Probably with a wire from the security system sticking out of it.. find the other end of the same color wire from the iginition and reconnect and see what happens.
damn-clean up that mess before something else gets screwd up.whoever installed that wiring and left it like that should be shot.good luck.and buy a helms manual.the best money you can spend on a 4th gen.
