Default can i use a this ecu

hey i have a 01 honda accord dx single cam non vtec with a blown motor i boght a 02 accord motor single cam vtec so i need to swap out my ecu with a vtec ecu can i use a 96-97 single cam vtec cause that is obd2 and prob easier to find or do i have to use a 01 ecu

I am pretty sure ether of those ECU's would be easy to find. Neither of them are in the top 20 most wanted list. Any JY should be able to find you a 98-02 PAA ECU. That is the ECU you want for a stock OBD2 F23 SOHC VTEC swap.
