Help - Bogging! :(
Okay guys, don't give me any attitude about posting under the "drag racing" category, but I know you guys are the best of the best and will be able to help give insight to what the problem might be.
Here's what I've got -
1991 Civic SI
B20B
GSR head
P72 computer
Stock cams
B16 transmission with Exedy flywheel
310 cc injectors
Erick's Racing 70mm throttle body
Walbro 255 fuel pump with AEM FPR (fuel pressure is 42-45)
Here's my problem -
1st gear, the car pulls really good...hit redline and shift.
2nd gear the car boggs BIG TIME, if you wait it out a second or so the car sputters a bit and the bogging goes away and the car goes to redline again.
3rd and 4th gear, car boggs around 7,000 rpm.
Car does not have any check engines. Car runs perfect under normal driving conditions.
What do you think it could be? Thanks.

Distributor is brand new. Thought that was the problem too and changed it. Also changed the throttle body, TPS, spark plug wires, spark plugs, etc. All new.
What would you suggest for tuning?
I've done plenty of B20B-VTEC swaps (all-motor and turbo) and no problems whatsoever, even with no tuning.

just for shiznit and giggles put the stock injector back in and back some fuel pressure back and see if it clears up. not to much involved to do that and it will give you a better idea of what the problem may be.
Anyways, if you are cheap, go with crome, if you want something a bit better, go with neptune/ectune/hondata.

You could have 10 pages of suggestions but it's all guessing until you start logging at least the o2 (wideband) vs rpm.
There's a lot of threads on how to read spark plugs as well but you're much better off putting some money into one of the many Honda based EMS's as others have suggested.
