i can black out your current headlights so that they look identical to jdm's...and the seal around the light is as good as new....for 1/10th of the price....

It's worth if you are just getting JDM housing..but if you plan to install HID Kit..then...it's not worth..cuz beam...on the right lookslike High beam somehow...
so best bet: get rEAL JDM OEM HID $ 1500 or black out housing and get HID KIT

They are designed to illuminate the left side because of the RHD config on the jap cars...what hes saying is to oncoming drivers your lights will be on there eyes and they will flash you- even aiming does not help according to some ppl on CRSX

I like the black housing better personally, I would get them.
[rant]The other divers would just have to deal with the extra light. I have to put up with all those Ford 350 XLT super duty, extended cab, long bed trucks when they drive behind me and help god in takeing away my already bad eye sight...[/rant]

Got mine from jdmhondaparts.com. It was a little pricey compared to other places, but I had peace of mind that I was going to get screwed with shipping/customer service. And yes, they are worth it!

I didn't get the HID's. I don't feel like blinding on coming traffic and having them pissed off bc of another import. I paid $620 shipped a while back.

Yeah the jdm hid's are kind of pricey. It will be one of the last things I do. Remember performance first hehe..
The JDM hid's are 15oo.oo
and the jdm housings are 350.oo

Also becareful when buying JDM hid's/housing from E-bay. Sometimes the sellers "forgets" to mention if some of the harness's or brackets are broken..

Good luck guys.

type r housings for 350?

wow, price drop!
i was talking with another guy in a thread and he was saying combining type r housings and american HID's is not good... I can't remember exact reasons but basically I'm not gonna go type r housings till I learn more.

Well I have heard that the jdm headlights are a little different. Since in japan the cars are right hand drive I have heard that when you put the JDM housing on a RSX the drivers side light is pointed at a angle and the passenger side light is pointed straight. So the drivers side light will be a little off.

yah.. so no point in getting type r housings unless you can adjust that. whatever, i think type r housings are gonna drop in price more anyways, i'll wait till they do.

like i said i have type r heads on my 1996 EK and have heard this be true for civic as well, and since i have had them I am startign to see what they mean.
Aside from not having those crhome things infront of the actual bulb (making my headlights brighter) they do light up the right more, but it could also be my alignment?
