ive been told that i need to take off the front bumper to install an hid kit

is that true?

TRUE.... technically it could be done with out taking it off but you would need tiny little Asian hands to do it

Yes, you will have to take off the front bumper...also, don't even bother getting started if you don't have a socket set with extensions...there is a bolt behind the radiator that is really hard to get to without a long extension. If you have trouble getting the bumper off, there are various threads on here and the rest of the internet also...refer to those.

Yeah, me too...I hate when you get that cloudy build up...especially when you have HID's. Also, headlight restorer works well.

Is there a way to take apart the headlight assembly? My friend dropped a bulb in it and I can't get it out.

Put it in the oven. There is diy on crsx!!

False... I installed my retro solutions hid kit on my 06 rsx-s without taking the bumper off. just gotta be careful and patient.

AND when you seal them back up, make sure you do a good job sealing them so they never go foggy. when i bought my jdm replica headlights, I sealed them up just to make sure i wouldn't get foggy head lamps.

It's neither true or false, maybe you have small hands ,maybe it was that patience, but not every one has both.

You don't "have to" take off your bumper. It all depends how you want to mount the ballast. If you are fine with them mounted in your engine bay then no need to remove the bumper at all.
